Truancy Intervention Project Is Now
Student Engagement Alliance!

We are no longer just intervening.

We are building a support system that ensures every child is present, engaged, and empowered to succeed.

For more than three decades, Truancy Intervention Project has helped Georgia students overcome barriers to school attendance through legal advocacy and support.

As our work deepened, we recognized that truancy intervention reflected only one part of what we do. While legal advocacy remains a cornerstone of our work, our programs have expanded to address the root causes of absenteeism, strengthen student engagement, and promote systemic change. We are excited to begin this new chapter, and we invite you to be part of it.

our New Name

Student Engagement Alliance reflects how our work has grown beyond truancy intervention. Together with schools, families, and partners, we work to address the root causes of absenteeism, build student engagement, and drive systemic change.

How to Talk About the New Brand

One-Sentence Explanation
Truancy Intervention Project is now Student Engagement Alliance, a name that better reflects our work to bring families, schools, legal advocates, and community partners together so every student can be present, engaged, and empowered to succeed.
For more than three decades, Truancy Intervention Project has helped Georgia students overcome barriers to school attendance. As the organization’s work expanded beyond legal intervention to address root causes, strengthen partnerships, and promote lasting change, its former name no longer encompassed the full picture. Student Engagement Alliance represents what the organization is today: a network of allies working together so students can be present, engaged, and supported.
We have a new name, but the same commitment to Georgia students. Student Engagement Alliance better represents the full scope of our work, including legal advocacy, early engagement, family support, community partnerships, and efforts to address barriers to school attendance and engagement.
