We are no longer just intervening.
We are building a support system that ensures every child is present, engaged, and empowered to succeed.
For more than three decades, Truancy Intervention Project has helped Georgia students overcome barriers to school attendance through legal advocacy and support.
As our work deepened, we recognized that truancy intervention reflected only one part of what we do. While legal advocacy remains a cornerstone of our work, our programs have expanded to address the root causes of absenteeism, strengthen student engagement, and promote systemic change. We are excited to begin this new chapter, and we invite you to be part of it.
Student Engagement Alliance reflects how our work has grown beyond truancy intervention. Together with schools, families, and partners, we work to address the root causes of absenteeism, build student engagement, and drive systemic change.
Our original hand-drawn mark served us well for decades. Our refreshed brand reflects the scale and reach of our growing network, balancing a polished identity with bright, optimistic touches that capture the energy of the youth we serve and the passionate community behind them.
I’m proud to share that Truancy Intervention Project is now Student Engagement Alliance.
The new name reflects the full scope of the organization’s work and its belief that every student deserves allies who will help clear the barriers standing between them and their education. Legal advocacy remains a cornerstone of the work, alongside partnerships with families, schools, volunteers, and community organizations that help students be present, engaged, and empowered to succeed.
I’m honored to support Student Engagement Alliance in this exciting new chapter.

Truancy Intervention Project reflected the organization’s origins in legal intervention, but it no longer represented the full scope of our work. Student Engagement Alliance better reflects our broader approach to addressing attendance barriers, supporting student engagement, and bringing together the people and organizations students need in their corner.
Yes. Legal advocacy remains a cornerstone of our work. Our new name recognizes that this work is part of a broader support system that also includes families, schools, volunteers, and community partners.

Our commitment to helping Georgia students overcome attendance barriers remains the same. The new brand more accurately reflects how our work has grown and the broader impact we are working to achieve.
“Student Engagement” reflects our belief that success involves more than being physically present at school. Students should feel supported, connected, and empowered to participate in their education and shape their futures. “Alliance” represents the network of families, schools, legal advocates, volunteers, and community partners working together to support students.
During the transition, you may refer to the organization as: Student Engagement Alliance, formerly Truancy Intervention Project
